Position Applying for: Process Engineer

A focused, proactive, logical, competent and organized individual with a degree in Chemical Engineering, obtained from UCT in 1986.

As such, he has more than 20 years (25 years, if student vacational work is included) practical experience in the Heavy-Industry Production environment. This experience can be broken down as follows:

>13 years experience in Diamond Beneficiation & Recovery Industry
9 years experience in the Steel Production Industry (incl. Pyrometallurgy)

His excellent organisational, administration, commissioning, logical, practical and interpersonal skills, were finely tuned and perfected during this period, whilst performing feasibility studies, designing, commissioning and managing 20 Production Plants. He managed a staff complements of up to 90 employees at a time. Accountability included Plant Production, Inventory Control, Safety & Health, Quality, Environmental, Continuous Improvement, Production Cost Control and Training of subordinates.

His computer literacy spans various packages, typically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and has also worked with SAP.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Achievements spans all the Production Plants and Projects he has been involved with & includes:

Commissioning 3 Plants in a period of 9 months, during 2007
Effecting a 14 million rand Working Capital saving, in 6 months, in 2004
Commissioning of Hot Strip Mill, Temper Mill and Roll Grinding Facilities, with personnel who had no previous Steel-Making experience
Ran a number of secluded, satellite Production & Exploration Diamond Recovery Plants
Initiated feasibility studies for Security Systems currently in use on Diamond Plants
Latest Technology implementation on Production Plants, in the Steel and Diamond Industry
